Saray Monzón is a clinical psychologist at THE BALANCE whose work draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. She supports adolescents, adults and couples, adapting the approach to their difficulties, goals and circumstances.
Her background includes more than six years as a Research Associate and Assistant Lecturer in the Psychology and Psychiatry Unit at the University of the Balearic Islands. There, her work combined adult psychotherapy with research into depression, cognitive functioning and treatment adherence.
Her specialist interests include support for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, gender-based violence and other traumatic experiences. She also works with couples and is a certified family mediator. Her research and clinical experience inform a collaborative approach to emotional regulation, relationships and practical change.
